DART Exercise Drill

Animal Sheltering “Awareness Level” training course


April 24th through April 25th 2010
Presented by: Florida SART (State Agricultural Response Team), University of Florida VETS team, University of Florida Maddie’s Shelter team, Sumter DART, Big Bend DART and Bay Area DART

Format – classroom and hands on

 

Will be run under the Incident Command System

 

There is no fee.

 

Recommended preparation for this course: FEMA courses:

  1. IS 10 (Animal in Disaster Module A – awareness and preparation)

  2. IS 11 (Animals in Disaster Module B - community planning)

  3. ICS 100

  4. ICS 200

  5. ICS 700

 

There will be a field set up of a temporary animal shelter, encompassing all components that are associated with the set up, operation and tear down of a temporary animal shelter.

 

This is a two day course and you must attend all sessions, in order to receive a certificate.
